Your Data
Selfe facilitates bookings between guests and venues. We store what's needed to make that work—your venue identity and the transaction records that link to guest booking history.
What Selfe stores
| Data type | Description |
|---|---|
| Venue profile | Your structured identity—name, location, character |
| Attributes | Facilities, amenities, room types |
| Vibe & fit | Character descriptors for agent matching |
| Evidence | Verifications, credentials, trust signals |
| Analytics | Search impressions, how often agents recommend you |
| Transaction records | Booking references that link to guest history in Selfe Wallet |
What stays in your systems
Full booking details live in your PMS. Room assignments, special requests, operational notes—these stay with you.
Guest personal data goes to your systems. Names, contact details, preferences—we pass these through, we don't hold them.
Selfe is a marketplace that facilitates the transaction. We keep the reference needed for guest booking history, but the operational detail stays with you.
If you leave
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Request removal | Your venue is hidden from agents immediately |
| In-progress bookings | Continue to completion—we honour existing commitments |
| New bookings | Stop being facilitated through Selfe |
| Profile data | Removed within 30 days |
| Transaction records | Retained—these link to guest booking history in Selfe Wallet |
We can't fully delete transaction records because guests rely on their Wallet history. Your venue name may appear in a guest's past bookings, but you won't receive new bookings through Selfe.
Open specs
The Agentic Booking specs are open. Your venue data is structured to a public standard, not a proprietary format.
Echo is Selfe's implementation of these specs. We build and maintain Echos, run the catalog, handle the infrastructure. The underlying data format isn't proprietary to us—the specs are public and other implementations can exist.
Data security
| Measure | Details |
|---|---|
| Encryption at rest | AES-256 |
| Encryption in transit | TLS 1.3 |
| Access controls | Role-based, audited |
| Compliance | GDPR, UK Data Protection Act |
