For an agent, the question comes first. A request may include dates, quantity, location, delivery, membership, accessibility, compatibility or a policy condition. The transaction only becomes meaningful when those details can be checked against what the business can actually offer.

## A purchase is a specific request

Two customers can click the same button and require entirely different answers. A room for two and a room for a family are not interchangeable. A product in stock may still be unsuitable for the stated use. A service may be available in principle but require a lead time, a deposit or a direct confirmation.

The transaction surface therefore needs more than a destination URL. It needs a way to express the request, return the relevant conditions and make clear whether the next action is a quote, a reservation, a payment request or a conversation with the team.

## The useful boundary is permission

Not every business should let an agent complete every step. The decision is about permission, not technological theatre. A business can allow an agent to discover, compare and assemble a request while reserving payment, confirmation or sensitive choices for a customer or member of staff.

When that boundary is explicit, the experience is safer for everyone. The agent knows when to stop, the customer knows what is being requested and the business receives a request with the context it needs to respond well.

## A good hand-off does not throw away the work

The common failure is to send a customer from an informed recommendation to a generic form. The business then asks the same questions again, and the value of the agent's research disappears. A good hand-off carries the request, the relevant options and any unresolved choices forward.

That is what makes a transaction agent-ready. It is not a button an agent can see. It is a reliable route from a specific customer need to the next permitted commercial step.
